If you’re like most men, you probably have some food in your cabinets right now that are putting your testosterone levels in harm’s way.

You may not have put them there. Maybe your lady did. But either way, you need to avoid them at all costs. What’s in these products that’s so dangerous to your health?

Estrogen… or some substance that triggers and estrogenic response in the body.

The problem with estrogen is that it’s primarily a female hormone… and when estrogen levels increase in the body, testosterone levels plummet. So you’re basically becoming less manly and more lady-like at the very same time… which is something ALL men should avoid.

In this article, I’ll show you 4 foods and the proof that eating them will cause your estrogen to spike and testosterone levels to plummet.

But I won’t just leave you there…

Because I’ll also show you a 30-second solution you can use every day to set up an “estrogen defense shield” in your body and skyrocket your testosterone levels by 540% while protecting yourself from estrogen contamination. So make sure you keep reading, because you’ll want to know what this is and how to do it.

But before I get there, check out the following 4 estrogen-heavy foods that you want to avoid…

Soy

It always baffles me when guys volunteer to eat soy. As a man, there’s no way to justify it… especially when you find out what it’ll do to your testosterone levels.

Soybeans are high in estrogenic isoflavones, which create the same effect in the body as the female sex hormone, soy. Studies have shown that these estrogenic chemicals activate estrogen receptors in the body and switch off androgen receptors (for testosterone). As a result, your body transitions into an environment where estrogen is more dominant than testosterone.

Also, a study from The National Center For Toxicological Research found that soy can disrupt the production of thyroid hormones by interfering in the amount of iodine taken up in the thyroid gland. This is bad news for you because suppressed thyroid activity is one of the main causes of low testosterone levels in men.

If that weren’t enough to convince you to stay away from soy, a study from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada found that a high intake of soy suppresses both testosterone and DHT (the most potent form of testosterone in the body) in men.

Vegetable Oil

Not too long ago, vegetable oil became one of the most popular forms of cooking oil in the world…

The problem for you, is this vegetable oil can have disastrous effects on your testosterone levels. Vegetable oils are extracted from plant sources and then go through a refining process which strips it of its nutrient content and gives it a longer shelf life.

That alone is a red flag… because processed foods (yes, even processed red meat) can do damage to your testosterone levels.

But that’s not the only reason you should stay away from vegetable oil.

Vegetable oil is high in polyunsaturated fat content. And Studies have shown that polyunsaturated fat is the worst kind of fat you can consume for testosterone levels. In fact, it’s the only form of fat (the other two being saturated fat and monounsaturated fat) that reduces testosterone levels.

The problem here is that most cooking oils contain PUFAs. PUFAs are high in omega 6 fatty acid content which has been shown to wreak all sorts of havoc in the body and cause inflammation and high cortisol levels… all of which drop testosterone.

As a man, the only cooking oils you should be using are olive oil, argan oil, and coconut oil. But what can you do when you’re not in control of the cooking oil? When you go out to a restaurant with your lady, can you guarantee they aren’t cooking your food in vegetable oil? When your lady cooks dinner, are you sure she didn’t use high PUFA vegetable oil?

Instead of storming the kitchen at the restaurant or standing over your partner’s shoulder when she cooks, check out a 30-second trick you can do each morning to set up an “estrogen defense shield” in your body. CLICK HERE to check it out

Flaxseed

Flaxseed products have gained some steam in recent years as a viable health food that everyone should try simply because they’re high in Omega 3 fatty acids.

However, as a guy, the negative effects of flaxseed outweigh the positives…

Flaxseed is high in lignans. But they aren’t just high in them—studies have shown they’re at the very top of the list, being known to have dietary lignan levels more than 800x more than most over foods.

This is a major problem for you because lignans are highly estrogenic and studies have shown they both reduce testosterone and suppress a specific enzyme in the body that converts testosterone into its most powerful form—dihydrotestosterone.

Lignanas also increase the amount of Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) in the body. SHBG is a glycoprotein that attaches to your testosterone and basically makes it useless.

So hey, if your partner wants to have some flaxseed in her diet… that’s great. But as a man, stay away from flaxseed. The benefits of it aren’t worth all the damage it’ll do to your testosterone levels.

Trans Fats

Trans fats appear in just about every “snacky” food you can think of…

Donuts, chips, french fries, just about anything you can order at a fast food restaurant, and more. Basically, trans fat is in all the foods you already know you shouldn’t be eating.

Here’s how they’re made:

Raw oils (usually PUFA oil that I already mentioned is horrible for testosterone levels) are hardened by passing hydrogen atoms through the oil in a high pressure process. When this happens, some of the unsaturated molecules in the raw oils become fully saturated, which is why they become solid at room temperature. The hydrogenation process continues until the fat reaches a certain texture.

After that, the hydrogenation process switches some of the molecular “carbon-carbon” bonds into “trans” bonds and creates the Frankenstein “trans-fatty acids.” And you’ll find this kind of fat in just about anything that’s processed and placed in the grocery store.

I already mentioned how PUFAs (used to make trans fats) lower testosterone levels in men. So that’s at least one reason you should stay away from them. Plus, because trans fats are foods that are so easy to snack on, you need to keep them at arm’s length as often as you can.

If you develop a pattern of eating these foods, you’ll develop more belly fat, which increases the amount of estrogen your body produces. Then, your body free falls into a nasty cycle… because as your body produces more estrogen, you gain belly fat… and round and round it goes.

But hey, it doesn’t have to be this way. If you like to enjoy an occasional snack, just make sure you do this one 30-second trick in the morning that sets up an “estrogen defense shield” in the body and boosts your testosterone levels 540% to limit the effects of snacking on a trans fat every once in a while.
